Book reviews for Catholic young people. By Catholic young people. OK, and sometimes by Mrs B herself.
Perhaps occassional glimpses of what's going on in her literature/writing classes.

Cupcakes are the New Doughnut
I remember my first Krispy Kreme Doughnut. It seems impossible, but these may be even more alluring.
Any young person (or their parents) who want to submit a book review are welcome. Email submissions to catholicmomma@comcast.net.
Realize that this site is specifially for Catholic Christian young people who are trying to live out their faith. With that in mind, I reserve the right to reject reviews of books I find inappropriate (the book or the post).
WAIT! That does not mean that all controversial books will be banned. I think many students learn a lot and come to "own" their beliefs through good discussion. It's just going to be nicely supervised.
CHOOSE between these Shakespeare books:
OR...
NOTE: ther are several versions of Nesbit's book, going by various titles, including: The Children's Shakespeare, Beutiful Stories from Shakespeare, etc. ANY version is fine.

I'm a Catholic mother and English teacher who happens to be having a blast homeschooling right now. I also teach reading and writing workshops for young people in my home.
As a former youth minister, my passions are my savior Jesus Christ, His perfect Catholic Church here on earth (you know the one - ironically it's filled with imperfect people), followed by my beloved husband, precious children, wonderful family and friends. And don't forget reading! I love to teach good lit ALMOST as much as I love to read it.
